The deal is a significant milestone in the VivoPower digital asset treasury transformation plan. The company believes the Doppler Finance platform will handle over $200 million in XRP assets through the partnership over time.
VivoPower is a sustainability company that operates on multiple continents. The company has been listed on NASDAQ as VVPR since 2016.
Regenerative Yield Strategy Implementation
The partnership revolves around a regenerative model of investment. XRP yield generated will be invested back in the VivoPower reserves instead of being taken back as profits.
This is supposed to generate compounding returns to shareholders in the long run. The idea is not similar to traditional treasury management, where XRP is the cornerstone asset and new value is minted.
Rox Park, Head of Korea, Doppler Finance, had high hopes of delivering yield improvement targets. XRP and additional RLUSD stablecoin implementations will also have access to the service. South Korea owns an estimated 20% of XRP’s circulating supply, worth $30 billion.
Expanding Digital Asset Applications
The collaboration extends beyond yield generation to more comprehensive blockchain usage. VivoPower would be engaged in payment remittances, real-world asset tokenization, and DeFi lending solutions.
Such initiatives align with the company’s objective to contribute to the growth and utility of the XRP Ledger. The collaboration offers infrastructure to a number of decentralized finance applications within the South Korean market.
VivoPower maintains two primary business units alongside its new treasury focus. Tembo is an electric vehicle fleet solution company. The unit offers off-road and on-road battery systems, off-road and on-road chargers, and microgrids.
Caret Digital is a power-to-x company that deals with the use of renewable energy. The unit has digital asset mining processes that utilize renewable power capacity.
Doppler Finance is a yield platform based on the XRP Ledger and is operated at the institutional level. The business integrates regulated custody and audited reserves, and screened yield strategies.
The platform focuses on scalability and safety for institutional customers. Doppler Finance is set to launch in the U.S. market as a partner with BitGo Trust with compliant custody solutions.
The operations of VivoPower are globally spread across the United Kingdom, Australia, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The company is a certified B Corporation as a sustainable energy solutions provider.
